The Landscape Architecture Reader is a simple place to gather good books, projects, journal articles, and other useful sources about landscape architecture. It brings them together in one spot so you can browse, follow your curiosity, and get a feel for how wide the field really is. The site is organized by topic, so it's easy to move from one idea to the next.
To be included, a source should speak clearly to landscape architecture, either written by someone in the field or important to how the field has grown, past or present. We also include books that aren't strictly about landscape architecture but still offer something useful, books that help you see land, design, or ecology in a new way.
The site is still taking shape. It's a work in progress, and it will get better with your help. You can share a book, a list, or a new theme category in the "post a thought" section, or send suggestions by email. We're also open to ideas on how to make the site more useful.
One small note: if you choose to buy a book through links on the site, a small portion goes back into building and maintaining the Reader, at no extra cost to you.
